On Friday, June 28, 2002 at the Bala Golf Club in the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Press Association held its annual press awards. Taking the Grand Prize for Public Service was Nancy Phillips and Rose Ciotta of the Philadelphia Inquirer for their report entitled "Battered Cargo" which ran on June 3, 4 and 5 of 2001.
