On Friday, June 28, 2002 at the Bala Golf Club in the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Press Association held its annual press awards. The News of Delaware County won several awards that night. One was Len Rosen's piece entitled "The Catcher Who Was a Spy" in the category of Sports Writing, Weekly Division.
